Fee-Paying for 2021:
The Directors wish to record their appreciation to the membership. Almost all fees have been paid, despite the uncertainty of play, and this shows great loyalty to the Club in such difficult times. Treasurer David Forsyth reports that a good number of members paid by bank transfer, which was much appreciated.
Opening Days: We held two Club Opening Days on Saturday 01 May and Sunday 02 May, as the COVID bubble restriction meant only 30 could play each day. It was great to see 30 members bowling each day, in spite of the cold weather.
Ladies Opening Day on 04 May was also very successful.
The Gents Monday Night Game restarted on Monday 10 May at 7.00 pm. You can use the on-line booking with 'Appointedd' and book for the 6.00 pm slot.
Saturday Afternoon Mixed Games: These have proved very popular so far this season, and we will continue to hold them. However, now that we have discontinued the on-line booking system, just turn up by 1.45 pm on a Saturday, make sure you sign in and take a washer, and we will draw teams. If numbers are good, we can open the bar, and have a £1 sweepstake.
The guidelines and rules for play under COVID restrictions are being sent to all members, and are shown on the dedicated page added to the website.
The Club's COVID officer as required by Bowls Scotland is Secretary Mike Dunbar, although the Directors will have collective responsibility for all COVID matters.
Opening Days - May 2021
CCTV: Our CCTV system has been installed, and a CCTV Policy agreed by the Board:-
The club will operate a CCTV system and notices to that effect shall posted within the clubhouse for the information of all members, visitors and guests.
Any review of images captured on the CCTV system must be authorised by a Club Director or the House Convenor and will be limited to:
(a) Any necessary routine maintenance or quality assurance checks to confirm that the system is in good working order.
(b) As appropriate in support of the investigation of any incidents reported to have occurred at the club.
The speculative monitoring or review of CCTV footage without focus on any particular incident or allegation is expressly prohibited.
On every occasion when a review of CCTV footage has been authorised the circumstances are to be reported to the Club Secretary who will create a standing item on the agenda for Board meetings.
