Covid-19 Pandemic - Restart of Bowling
The green is open for play, and toilets are now available!
Bowling has restarted in a restricted way, to ensure we do all we can to safeguard members, their families, and the community from Covid-19.
We are complying with Bowls Scotland guidelines, which are being gradually eased. Changes are issued regularly, e.g. spectating is now permitted.
Play is by booking only, with three sessions available each day. Up to four players may play on each rink. The latest Bowls Scotland guidelines allow players to play with up to four other households per day.
Bookings must be made by contacting Mike Dunbar, Secretary. Contact details have been given in the email / letter to members.
For a booking to be accepted, members must confirm they have read the restart-of-play rules and agree to abide by them.
Further reassurance regarding the use of the Club is now provided by our CCTV system. See the 'Club News' page for the CCTV Policy.
The Board of Directors reserve the right to change the rules in light of experience, either to improve safety, or to widen the availability of playing space and time.
Bishopbriggs is situated just north of Springburn in Glasgow. The Bowling Club is very close to Bishopbriggs Cross, and easily reached by bus or train. On-street parking can be a little difficult near the club, however a space can usually be found.
The club was founded in 1906, and continues to thrive, with a membership of about 180 ladies, gents, and juniors.
Membership enquiries are very welcome. We will be pleased to have you join us, whether you are an experienced bowler or a novice.
Bishopbriggs Bowling Club is very grateful to M & D Green, Pharmaceutical Chemists, for their generous sponsorship.
